History
The continuous motion and transformation of matter gives rise to increasingly advanced, higher forms of its organization. Life emerges, and within it, intelligent beings arise. In the process of satisfying their needs — through interaction with and transformation of their environment, that is, through production – living forms organize themselves into societies, forming a superstructure above the productive base.
Matter transforms itself. Thus, the environment shapes and reshapes civilization — society and production — while civilization, in turn, changes its environment. Through continuous development, the means of production and the forms of social organization evolve.
Deltadim is characterized by such an organization of matter: its highly organized part distinguishes itself into a civilization of beings who transform their surroundings and interact with one another.
Development
Various forms of highly organized matter emerge in different regions of the Deltadim universe. In the course of matter’s development, the namesake Delta Civilization — was born, giving its name to its native system and the familiar universe as a whole. The delta symbol appears across many fields of art and in names, though exactly when and under what circumstances it first appeared is not precisely known.
The prehistory of the civilization is lost in the abyss of time — forgotten names and events, in conflicts born of greed and the lust for wealth. Only a few historians dare to descend into that abyss.
The civilization's history begins when the productive forces come to be engaged with according to their understood nature. Gradually, all production comes under conscious social control. It is precisely this objective approach to reality that allowed Delta civilization to endure and develop. Knowledge of physical laws granted power over them, eliminating the chaotic forces that would have doomed any other civilization.
Since the beginning of Delta’s history, four eras have passed, each characterized by a distinct event and lasting 160 standard (Alterran) years. The name and corresponding symbolic letter of each era are typically assigned after its conclusion, though sometimes earlier. On Alterra, the notation follows the pattern: symbol-name-of-era.year-number. The current unnamed era is usually denoted simply as "?" and referred to as current. For example: ?.24. However, analysts already suggest names such as DF – DigiFusion, symbolizing the increasing fusion between us and the Digirel universe.
Let us now look at the eras themselves:
- Block Means of Production (BMP) – The final automation and implementation of a unified, abstracted system for production preparation and control. Material goods production becomes akin to digital content creation — maximally simplified, multifunctional, and accessible to creativity.
- Bio (BIO) – Advanced systems for the synthesis and transformation of living organisms appear. These become available to users as transgenerators — multifunctional devices for bodily restructuring. Individuals significantly enhance and upgrade their organisms, with many integrating robotics and other life forms.
- Space Materia (SM) – Advanced tools for manipulating matter and controlling the interactions between particles and force carriers via field-string oscillation control appear. These tools come as synthesizer devices and telepipes, the latter becoming a universal means of rapid and comfortable interspatial travel. Active space exploration begins, including our galaxy and other worlds.
- Omniverse World Observe (OWO) – Intensive exploration of other worlds and the transition of the global information network to quantum technologies leads to active interaction with Digirel and Floriverse. Internet-based entities — closest to us — enter the network as phantom accounts or even in the flesh. Meanwhile, Flories are actively brought to and adapted on Deltaim planets.
Prehistory
The rapid development of information technologies leads to the increasing digitalization of all forms of activity. Activity is perceived as a set of interconnected and meaningful representations — information. Accordingly, the organization and management of activity comes down to information formation and transformation — cybernetics, implemented via computational technology.
On the other hand, the development of communication methods and the creation of a global network gave rise to new forms of free social organization and labor, in the form of internet communities. Despite the rising noise in the information field, access to knowledge has drastically improved.
A typical exchange of thoughts on intellectual topics
When information technologies fully permeated all spheres of material goods production, the productive forces came under complete control of the working people — now better educated, organized, and unified into a free and consolidated digital community.
This new social superstructure, matching the current development of productive forces and material conditions of existence, dismantled the outdated superstructure. Alongside it, the eternal antagonism of oppressors and oppressed was eliminated. Everyone became workers.
Thus, a radical transformation of the means of production, brought about by digitalization, ends the prehistory of civilization.

The first, already historical, era essentially continues and stabilizes the trends of society and labor digitalization. In the BMP era, technological development and the deployment of cybernetic production eliminate monotonous and hard labor, allowing all to engage in creative work.
Labor ceases to be a burden and becomes a vital need — a source of pride and joy. A post-state organization emerges in the form of the Congress — a unified socio-economic center overseeing all production.

The digitalization of labor is reflected in the significant advancement of robotics, which embodies the practical application of cybernetics. AI implementations become increasingly advanced and compact.
In parallel, production development drives new ways of transforming and perfecting various organisms, enabling comprehensive improvement of one's own body and mind. As the understanding of consciousness deepens, neurointerfaces emerge, ensuring integration with cybernetic systems.
All this leads to radical changes in the intelligent beings of Delta civilization, ushering in the BIO era. They take the best traits from various animal and plant forms and enhance them. Many physiological and mental flaws are eliminated – their bodies and minds are modernized. Technologically advanced robots, built on AI principles, attain consciousness and become full members of society.

Breakthroughs in biotechnology, along with favorable conditions for science in general, contribute to advances in other fields. Quantum physics, chemistry, and materials science — previously in the shadows — lead to revolutionary changes that mark the SM era. Advanced systems for product printing overturn manufacturing. New materials are discovered and synthesized. Additionally, spatial manipulation, including the detachment and relocation of spatial fragments relative to one another, fully resolves the transportation problem.
Naturally, new synthesis and transport methods further support biological enhancement and space colonization. This includes two interlinked yet opposing tendencies — adapting space to life (e.g., planetary terraforming) and adapting life to space — giving rise to entirely cosmic beings like the Micros.

The trends of previous eras continue and begin to influence one another, resonating to define the OWO era. The combination of control over matter, biology, space, and information enables transcendence beyond the familiar world. This brings contact and interaction with fundamentally new forms of matter organization. New worlds are discovered — Digirel, Floriverse, Nansenz, Nadir, Hizen, Vectora, and Enigma.
Conversely, beings from these worlds begin to infiltrate our home universe Deltadim, while we venture into theirs. Through advanced biological and quantum technologies, new beings are formed at the intersection of worlds. Naturally, a technological and knowledge exchange follows.
