Micros

Sons of space. They are grains of sand in the universe, and that is why they are called Micro. At this point it's not even a grain of sand — we're all just an inconceivably tiny dot. Of course, Micros love space exploration. For flights, they use flying saucers – a type of intraverse telepipes for movement within one universe.

History

Micro is a purely cosmic species ideally adapted for existence in space. At the beginning of the space era (Space Materia), when the Delta civilization began to actively develop its system and the entire galaxy, there were individual characters who developed not celestial bodies suitable for ordinary biological life, but space itself with all its special structures – from gas giants to globular star clusters.

Mixing with each other xeno-life form and actively modernizing their bodies, a single species of space cats was formed. They called themselves Micros, since they felt their relationship to the universe most of all.

Features of Biology

The conditions of existence of Micros determined their biology. They are independent and scattered throughout space. Their bodies are capable of absorbing nutrients from various materials, including inorganic ones. Thus, Micros can survive on the most meager food base. But as a rule, they choose tholins – a mixture of various hydrocarbons, relatively often found on space bodies. Although these cats would not refuse usual food, which would surprise them with its energy value.

We mentioned absorption for a reason. To eat, Micros only need to touch the surface of the consumed substrate. They do not have a mouth, but they can use their hands and gestures – takeshiks – to communicate. The reason for this is the maximum use of the useful area of the body, low sociability, and also the fact that sounds do not spread in an airless environment.

To obtain energy – breathing, Micros can use both oxidizers and reducers simply by touching them with their body (yes, including in solid and liquid forms). Micros can also be powered by various cosmic radiations.

They have an extremely efficient metabolism and can go for a very long time without food. In extreme cases, they fall into a "lifeless" state from which they emerge at the slightest contact with a nutritious and energetic substrate. Micros may seem sluggish, but in fact they are in eternal peace, their actions are confident and precise.

Behavior

Micros can be very sociable with each other, despite their muteness. Their constant desire to suddenly paw may seem frightening to other species, but it is rather amusing. Sign language is so developed that it allows them to convey a variety of information, although Micros can also use writing. It should be noted that non-verbal communication can be very significant for other species, but for Micros it is elevated to the absolute.

Despite their absent-mindedness, these cats look like a single system – living matter that has effectively mastered space and ideally occupied this niche. Micros are distinguished by excellent organization – they can both coordinate their actions and act autonomously, and the transition from one to another occurs with maximum ease. Cats easily find a common language and unite to solve any problem. Some sociologists see the future in such an organization, although this theory is not indisputable, it can be noted that any developed society competently combines collectivism with individualism, but it is difficult to assert that it will take exactly this form.

Micros are the vanguard in space exploration. They are the first to explore and create new worlds, preparing the basis for colonization and the development of new life. It is Micros that conduct research and lead advanced developments in space science, enriching the knowledge of the entire Delta civilization.

Why do Micros wear helmets? In fact, it helps them – the nanites that make up the sphere filter substances and radiation, allowing them to select the most useful and effective ones. Also, and this is important, the helmet includes a spatial computer and projects a graphical interface. Thus, Micros use this smart device as a universal platform for working with information.
